Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are interested in signing Hvitsa Kvarachelia, according to reports.
Known as a former teammate of Kim Min-jae, Kbarachelia is a winger who thrived at Rubin Kazan in Russia. Last season, he played in the European big leagues for the first time.
He scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 34 league games for Napoli. His explosive dribbling, precise kicks, and flickering passes were his trademark. His performance helped Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years. Kabarachelia was named MVP at the Serie A Awards at the end of the season. He also performed well in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), leading his team to the quarterfinals.
This season is no different. Kvarachelia has quickly emerged as one of the team’s mainstays, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 33 league games. With star striker Victor Osimhen off the pace, he has single-handedly carried Napoli’s offense.
Kvarachelia was the subject of interest from many teams last season, and it’s very likely that he will leave the club at the end of the season. Defending champions Napoli have plummeted to 10th place in the league this season. Since they won”t be able to play in the UCL next season, a team that qualifies for the UCL could be attractive to Kvartachelia.
Furthermore, Osimhen’s transfer rumors also played a role. His attacking partner, Osimhen, is also expected to leave the club at the end of the season. He”s been heavily linked with Chelsea.
PSG are also interested. With Mbappe out of the team, they need a replacement. “PSG value Kvarachelia at 60 million euros ($90 million),” PSG Report reported, citing 메이저사이트 journalist Loic Tanji, who is familiar with the European transfer market. There is no formal offer yet, but negotiations have already begun.”
If Kvarachelia does join PSG, he will join forces with Lee Kang-in. It would be the second time in two seasons that he would be playing alongside the South Korean after teaming up with Kim Min-jae at Napoli last season.
PSG, meanwhile, will face Olympique Lyonnais in the final of the Coupe de France at 4 a.m. on Nov. 26. It’s their chance to lift their third trophy of the season.
