Injury replacement foreign pitcher Ryan Weiss, 28, of the Hanwha Eagles of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), pitched brilliantly in his first start of the second half of the season.

Weiss did his job, pitching seven effective innings without being rattled by the errors, but the bullpen couldn’t hold on for the win.
