Greatest managerial challenge in PL history…Postecoglou nominated for October Manager of the Month award

Enze Postecoglou will try to win his third consecutive award.
The Premier League (PL) Secretariat announced on its official website on October 2 (KST), “The nominations for the October 2023 Manager of the Month Award are now open.

Fans can vote for Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool) and Postecoglou (Tottenham Hotspur).”
First up is Arteta, who won two and drew one of his three league games in October. Arteta started the month with a 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

He went two goals down against Chelsea, but equalized with goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossar to draw 2-2.

In the last round, they scored five goals against Sheffield United to secure a huge win.
Emery has been at the helm of Aston Villa’s recent surge.

The Gunners drew 1-1 against Wolverhampton after conceding an early goal to Hwang Hee-chan, and then defeated West Ham United (4-1) and Luton Town (3-1).

Emery’s 12th consecutive home win is a record for Villa.
Klopp also made the list.

Liverpool drew 2-2 with Brighton, followed by a 2-0 win in the Merseyside derby against Everton and a 3-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest.

With each point, the Reds closed the gap on Tottenham (26 points) to three points and reignited the title race.
The final nominee is Postecoglou.

He is the only one of the four nominees to win all three of his October games. 온라인카지노

Postecoglou’s Spurs picked up wins against Luton Town (1-0), Fulham (2-0), and Crystal Palace (2-1).
Aiming for a third straight title Postecoglou has already won the PL Manager of the Month award in August and September.

While Klopp was the first manager to win back-to-back awards in 2019-20, winning the August and September awards, Postecoglou has won two in the first two months of his PL debut season.
He could become the first manager in history to do so.

The PL secretariat said: “Postecoglou, the only manager to win every game in October, is aiming for a third consecutive award.

This is a feat that has not been achieved by any manager in the early stages of his PL career.”
Three consecutive wins is not unheard of.
Antonio Conte previously won three in a row in October, November, and December of the 2016-17 season when he was in charge of Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola also won the award four times in a row in September, October, November, and December of 2017-18.
When Liverpool won the title in 2019-20, Klopp also won the honor in November, December, and January.
However, Postecoglou is the first coach to win back-to-back awards from August to September in his first season. If he wins three more in a row, it will be an unprecedented record.
