Tiger Woods‘ (USA) son Charlie packed his bags after two days at the U.S. Junior Golf Championships despite his father’s on-site support.
Charlie shot a 10-over-par 80 in the second round of stroke play on Thursday (Sept. 24) at Oakland Hills Country Club’s North Course (par-70) near Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Charley, who shot a 12-over-par 82 the day before, missed the cut with a two-round total of 22-over-par 162.
He was four strokes shy of the cut, at 4-over par 144, and will look forward to next year.
The U.S. Junior Golf Championship is the first event in history that Tiger Woods has won three consecutive years, and Woods made headlines when he traveled to Detroit to cheer on his son as soon as he finished the tournament.
Ahn, the youngest member of the Korea Golf Association and the first South Korean to win the Junior Open Championship hosted by the R&A on Aug. 18, shot an even-par 70 in the second round to finish tied for 12th at 1-under 139.
Ahn advanced to the final round, where 64 players will compete in a one-on-one match play to determine the winner.
American golf prodigy Miles Russell (USA), who is considered the favorite to win the tournament, will join Ahn in a tie for 12th place in the match play.
Korean-British golfer Chris Kim, who made the cut at the PGA Tour’s The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, failed to advance to match play with a 5-over-par 145. 토토사이트 추천
