Unification Minister nominee Kim Young-ho says he will take an approach that can produce practical results rather than having a “talk for dialogue” with North Korea.
Candidate Kim said in his remarks at the National Assembly’s confirmation hearing yesterday (21st), “The door to dialogue with North Korea is always open.”
Candidate Kim emphasized that inter-Korean exchange and cooperation will be managed in accordance with laws and principles, and humanitarian support for the vulnerable in North Korea will continue regardless of political and military situations.
In particular, he vowed to “make more efforts to improve the human rights and humanitarian situation of North Koreans.”
