Manchester United manager Eric Ten Haggen’s choice is again a ‘protégé’.
The Manchester Evening News, a local newspaper in Manchester, reported on Nov. 21 (KST) that the Red Devils are considering signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Hrabenbergh, 21.
After a lethargic 0-2 defeat at Tottenham in the second leg, Mourinho is looking to bolster a midfield that has been identified as a weakness during the remainder of the transfer window, with his former Ajax pupil Hrabenberger emerging as a top target.
According to the outlet, United will make a move for Hrabenberg if Donny Panderbeek’s move to Real Sociedad is finalized.
Hrabenbergh joined Munich from Ajax last summer, but has struggled to break into the first-team, making just six league starts. He also missed out on the Dutch national team.
The Dutch-born manager has recruited mainly from the Dutch league since his arrival at United. These include Thierry Henry, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Anthony Martial, Mason Mount, and Andre Onana.
Martinez, Anthony, and Onana all played under Tenhague at Ajax, where they formed a master-pupil relationship. Tenhag was in charge of Ajax from 2017 to 2022.
Another United target, Sofiane Amrabat (Fiorentina), has also played in the Dutch league.
There are concerns about Tenhag’s biased views. 파워볼
