Aims for Resurgence “Will Look Different”
After losing her father during the Beijing Olympics, she vows to bounce back
After falling into a slump after the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, figure skating’s top female singles hopeful Yoo Young, 19, 토토사이트 is looking to bounce back.
“Yoo will compete in the 2023-2024 International Ice Skating Union (ISU) Figure Skating Challenger Series Nepella Memorial, which will be held from March 28,” Yoo’s agency, Brion Company, said on Friday.
After rising to sixth place at last year’s Beijing Olympics and fifth at the ISU World Championships, Yoo has since struggled with back and ankle injuries.
The loss of her father, who passed away suddenly during the Games, also hit her hard.
Her father passed away just before she competed in the women’s single free skate at the Beijing Olympics. The family kept the news to themselves so that she could focus on the competition.
Emotionally shaken, 스포츠토토 Yoo failed to make the top eight at the national selection trials for the 2023-2024 season in January this year.
Despite missing out on the national team, Yoo laced up her skates again.
After regaining her game through the Challenger Series, she will compete in the first round of the ISU Figure Senior Grand Prix next month and the fifth round in November.
Looking to make a comeback, Yoo has chosen “Listen to your heart” as her short program for the new season and a compilation of “Autumn moon,” “True love’s last kiss,” and “Yearning hears” for her free skate.
“It’s a choreography about how Yoo Young overcomes her feelings of wandering and loss when she loses her father and gets back on her feet,” Brion Company explained.
“This year, I’ll show you a different side of me than last year,” Yoo Young said, showing her determination for the new season.
Meanwhile, Choi Ji-bin will compete at the CS Atomic Classic International from April 14-16, 스포츠토토맨 and Kim Chae-yeon will compete at the ISU Challenger Series Lombardy Trophy from April 8-10.
