Figure women’s single skater Gan Fan (Sehwa Girls’ High School) finished second in the Challenger Series ahead of the Grand Prix event.
Lee scored 60.35 technical elements (TES), 66.48 artistic elements (PCS) and a total of 126.83 points in the women’s single free skate at the International Ice Skating Union (ISU) 2023 Shanghai Trophy in Shanghai, China, on Thursday.
Combined with the 69.47 points she received in the short programme the previous day for a final score of 196.40, Lee finished second, 3.40 points behind USA’s Brady Tennell (199.80).
The event was part of the Challenger Series, which is one level below the Grand Prix Series, and Lee competed in order to maintain his fitness ahead of the third and sixth Senior Grand Prix events in November.
He also finished second at the Nepella Memorial Challenger the previous weekend.
In her first performance, a double axel-triple toe-loop combination jump, Lee received a quarter-landing (when a jump’s rotation falls short of the 90-degree level).
The second task, a triple lutz-triple toe-loop combination jump, was underrotated (the jump’s rotation was more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees), resulting in a 0.35 performance point deduction, and the third task, a triple loop solo jump, was downgraded (the jump’s rotation was more than 180 degrees), resulting in a 0.51 GOE deduction.
After executing the triple salco cleanly, the flying change foot combination spin was judged at the highest level of difficulty, level 4, and the step sequence was judged at level 3.
In the second half of the programme, which carries a 10% penalty, the triple lutz-double toe-loop-double loop combination jump was again judged as a quarter-landing on all jumps, deducting 2.01 points from her GOE, and the subsequent triple flip solo jump was under-rotated.
After landing her double axel stably, Lee landed her flying camel spin as a level 4.
He finished his performance with a correo sequence, a change foot combination spin (level 4). 파워볼분석
