Kim Bo-mi of ‘Nonghyup Card 14 Wins in a Row’ “It’s not going to work!”
Multiple wins, no concessions!
Kim Bomi (NHK Card) and Baek Min-ju (Crown Hae-tae) are battling for the team league personal record.
When one takes the lead, the other quickly overtakes it and then reverses it.
On Nov. 11, Kim Bomi helped her team extend its winning streak to 14 games with a 4-1 victory over the Hawks in the fourth round of the 2023-2024 Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League at the Kintex PBA Stadium in Goyang, South Korea.
Speaking after the game, Kim said, “Winning eight games in Game 3 was amazing, but the six-game winning streak in Game 4 is amazing.
The players are playing so hard,” she said.
Individual performances also stand out.
Kim usually plays women’s doubles with teammate Kim Min-ah and mixed doubles with Oh Sung-wook, and they lead the women’s team league in wins (37 – 2nd) and winning percentage (71.2% – 1st) in rounds 1-4.
Kim’s main competition is her “best friend” Baek Min-ju of Crown Hae-tae.
Crown Hae-tae is closely following Nonghyup Card with a 4-2 record in Round 4, while Baek Min-ju is neck-and-neck with Kim in terms of wins (38 – 1st) and winning percentage (70.4% – 2nd) in Rounds 1-4.
Crown Hae-tae will look to win the fourth round to earn a direct ticket to the playoffs.
Depending on the outcome of the match on December 12, the final match of Round 4 against Nonghyup Card on the 13th could be the deciding factor.
Baek Min-joo has already expressed her ambition to win the match against Nonghyup Card.
Kim Bomi said, “Minju has a great mentality. I think she is so cool as a female player.
But in team leagues, it takes a village to win. It’s not going to be her way,” she laughed.
Despite her dominance in the team league, Kim Bomi has had her share of disappointments this season.
She has always been considered one of the favorites to win the title, but has yet to cross the threshold to the top. 온라인카지노
She reached the quarterfinals at the season-opening Blue One Resort Championship and twice reached the quarterfinals before falling short in the second half.
Aside from the World Championship, the final event of the season, there are only two tournaments left on the regular tour, the eighth and ninth.
Kim said, “If I do well on my own tour, I can’t ask for anything more.
I was too greedy and it didn’t work out.
I think I need to be more relaxed,” she reflected.
