“I focused on rebounding, and I’m glad it worked out.”
Chung-Ang sophomore Tae Woo Hyung (186 cm, G) started the 2024 KUSF College Basketball U-League South game against Sangmyung University on Friday at Sangmyung University’s Cheonan Campus Gymnasium and played 20 minutes and 56 seconds on the court, finishing with 10 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals. With the 79-54 victory, Chung-Ang moved into sole possession of third place.
“We had to prepare for the game without a long break after the last game,” said Hyungwoo. Of course, we beat KU, 온라인카지노 but we still have more games left. We played with the mindset that we wanted to go higher,” he said.
“Today (5th), our defense didn’t work as well as we thought it would. We could have finished the game more easily, but we didn’t do enough, we didn’t stay focused. I think that’s why it turned into a difficult game.”
Typhoo, who is fourth on the team in minutes played, is playing his sophomore season this year. “In my freshman year, I was a little nervous. Now it’s gone a lot. I don’t think I’m the main player, but I try to trust my brothers who play with me and follow them,” he said.
In this game, despite being a guard, Hyung-woo grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds. Rebounding is something that every coach emphasizes, and he was pleased with his performance.
“Before the game, the manager and coach were talking about rebounding a lot, so I focused on rebounding, and I’m glad it paid off,” he laughed.
“We have a few injuries in the team, and I hope we can finish the season without any more. Of course, the goal is to win the championship.”
