‘Hwang Hee-chan, booed by Wolverhampton fans, achieves record not even Holland could’…’He is respected like Son Heung-min’

Hwang Hee-chan has been on a tear this season, scoring in every home game for Wolverhampton.
Sky Sports highlighted Hwang Hee-chan’s performance this season on March 3 (Korean time). Hwang has scored six goals in the Premier League this season, leading the Wolverhampton attack. He is the first player in Wolverhampton’s history to score in six consecutive home games.
‘He has scored in each of his last six Premier League home games, five of which have come at home this season,’ says Sky Sports. It’s a record that hasn’t been matched by his Salzburg teammate Holland. Only Salah has scored in more consecutive home games than Hwang.
Sky Sports noted that “no Wolverhampton player has scored more goals in a single season in the Premier League in the last three seasons than Hwang has this season,” but that “Hwang hasn’t always had a good relationship with the Wolverhampton fans”.

In particular, Hwang was booed by Wolverhampton fans at Southampton last season. It seemed like he was going to fail at Wolverhampton just like he did at Leipzig,” referring to the difficult time Hwang Hee-chan had with Wolverhampton before he broke through in the Premier League.

Hwang has been a mainstay for Wolverhampton this season.

As the UK’s Daily Mail noted last month, “Wolverhampton have played five Premier League home games this season and Hwang has scored in all five.

It is the first time a Wolverhampton player has scored six goals in the first 10 games of a season since legendary striker Derek Duggan more than 50 years ago,” and “Like Tottenham’s Son Heung-min, Hwang is a respected and influential player at Wolverhampton. 바카라사이트
Hwang scored his sixth league goal of the season in the 10th round of the 2023-24 Premier League against Newcastle United at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England, on Sept. 29.

Hwang scored with a left-footed shot after a pass from teammate Gomes allowed him to penetrate the right side of the penalty area and evade a tackle from Newcastle defender Dan Byrne with a deft ball touch.

Shearer, who holds the Premier League’s all-time individual goals record, said: “He left Dan Byrne reeling and it was a fantastic finish.”
With Hwang’s brilliance, Wolverhampton are now 12th in the Premier League with three wins, three draws and four defeats (12 points) this season, and have been on a roll of late, going unbeaten in their last five matches.

Wolverhampton travel to Sheffield United on May 5 for their 11th Premier League match of the 2023-24 season.
