“Creating team chemistry is more important than spending £1 billion on players”
Tottenham Hotspur manager Enze Postecoglou has said that building team chemistry is more important than spending heavily in the transfer market.
“Postecoglou said he prioritizes team chemistry over big spending when it comes to building his squad,” global sports outlet The Athletic reported on Feb. 2 (KST).
According to The Athletic, Postecoglou was asked if he wanted to spend £1 billion ($1.6142 billion) on players like Chelsea.
To which Postecoglou replied, “Not necessarily.
I’ve always said that I’ve never felt that transfers are just about spending money.
This has been proven time and time again.”

Tottenham and Chelsea have taken different paths this season.
After signing Raheem Sterling, Mikhail Mkhitaryan, and Enzo Fernandes last season, Chelsea has been aggressive in the offseason.

Chelsea has invested over £1 billion in the two years since Todd Bowley took over the club.
