‘Park Ji-hyun 17 points’ Woori Bank beats Samsung Life for 6th straight win to open season

Woori Bank secured a defensive battle and extended its winning streak to six games to open the season.

Asan Woori Bank Woori WON won 53-48 against the Yongin Samsung Life Blooms in the second round of the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League on Thursday at 현금홀덤사이트 Asan Yi Sunshin Gymnasium.

With the win, Woori Bank, which opened the season with six straight wins, remained unbeaten and in sole possession of first place in the standings. Samsung Life, meanwhile, dropped its second straight game to fall to 3-3 on the season.

Woori Bank was led by Park Ji-hyun with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Kim Dan-bi added 13 points.

Samsung Life got 17 points and nine rebounds from Lee Hae-ran and 11 points from Shin Seul, but struggled on defense against Woori.

Woori Bank took the lead early in the game with a combination of baskets from Kim Dan-bi and Choi Yi-sam. They held Samsung Sinsung to just five points in the first five minutes of the game and went on an 11-3 run.

However, Woori Bank was unable to keep up with Samsung Life’s counterattack, led by Lee Hae-ran and Shin Seul. In the second quarter, Woori Bank’s offense stalled and they struggled to score, allowing Samsung Sinsung to take the lead with back-to-back three-pointers from Shin Isul and Lee Ju-yeon. The first half ended with Samsung Sinseng leading 27-23.

However, Woori Bank’s comeback was scary.

In the third quarter, Woori Bank stifled Samsung Life’s offense with a stifling defense. In the third quarter, Samsung Life scored just five points. In the meantime, Woori Bank turned the game around by piling up points, led by Choi Yi-sam and Park Hye-jin. At the end of the quarter, Park’s three-pointer and Choi’s dunk gave Woori a 37-32 lead.

In the middle of the fourth quarter, Woori Bank played a seesaw game with Samsung Life, led by consecutive baskets from Kang Yoo-rim, Bae Hye-yoon, and Lee Ju-yeon. The game remained close as the teams traded leads and ties. However, Woori Bank took the lead in the fourth quarter with back-to-back baskets by Park Ji-hyun, and drove a wedge into the game with a free throw by Park to make it 53-48 with 47 seconds left in regulation.
