Cha Jun-hwan wins first round of national figure trials

Men’s singles figure skater Cha Jun-hwan overcame an ankle injury to win the first round of the National Team Trials.
Cha scored a total of 174.25 points in the men’s single free skate and 86.28 points in the short program for a total of 260.53 points at the 2024-2025

National Team Trials and 2023 KB Financial National Men’s and Women’s

Figure Skating Championships at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Center in Uijeongbu on Wednesday,

beating out the likes of Min Min-gyu and Lee Jae-geun.

Cha earned the highest scores in both the short program on Day 2 and the free skate on Day 3.
Cha also earned a spot at the 2024 International Ice Skating Union (ISU)
