Lee Soo-jeong “Jeon Cheong-jo is gaslighting? Nam Hyun-hee’s words are suspicious”

Jeon Cheong-jo, the alleged second wife of Olympic fencing silver medalist Nam Hyun-hee (left), learns fencing at Nam’s fencing academy.

Former national fencer Nam Hyun-hee’s claim that she was only a victim of gaslighting by Jeon Cheong-jo in the “Jeon Cheong-jo case” is hard to believe, according to a criminal psychology expert.

Lee Soo-jeong, a professor of criminal psychology at Kyungpook National University, appeared on SBS Radio’s “Kim Tae-hyun’s Political Show” on the 31st and said, “If you ask me how Mr. Nam met Mr. Jeon and became so dependent on him, is he really a dependent person with no judgment whatsoever,” “it’s not like that at all.

“He’s a national (fencing) champion, so his decision-making skills should have been superior, but what he’s claiming now is very different from what he was,” Lee said, questioning Nam’s claim that he didn’t notice Jeon’s fraud at all.

“Gaslighting doesn’t just happen. “(Ms. Nam) is not separated from society at all, she can meet with her family and friends at any time, and she is a businesswoman, so how can she be gaslighted by someone like Jeon Cheongjo? I doubt it a hundred times,” Lee said.

“I think we should pay more attention to the sexual assault cases that have not yet been properly revealed in their relationship,” Lee said, adding that there is a need to investigate the connection between the sexual assault cases at Nam’s fencing academy and the “Jeon Cheongjo case.

“We know that students at the fencing academy run by Mr. Nam were sexually assaulted by a person (Coach A) who was junior to Mr. Nam and had a very close relationship with him, and that there were more than three victims,” Lee said, explaining that Mr. Jeon appeared in the middle of the case.

“During the course of the case, there was a divorce, and there was a custody battle between her and her ex-husband, who had a child,” he said, adding that it was important to note that “a very complicated time for [Ms. Nam] occurred between December 2022 and January 2023”. In fact, it was around that time that Ms. Jeon approached Mr. Nam.

“There was a victim complaint, and Coach A died in July, so there was no prosecution,” Lee said, adding, “I think we need to analyze the complexity of Nam’s mind, which is intertwined with these relationships, to get to the bottom of this case.” He suggested that the sexual assault could have been anything that made Nam lean toward Jeon.

“If we just socially condemn Mr. Jeon, whose gender identity is ambiguous, it is quite doubtful that the discussion will proceed properly,” he said, adding, “We need to look at many aspects to know whether Mr. Nam was only a victim or an accomplice.” 슬롯사이트
